Do you want to learn how to freestyle rap lyrics and use free unused rap lyrics?
Freestyle rap is about spitting rap lyrics in ciphers (or alone) that you make up on the spot. While you might sneak in a line or two that you wrote the night before, most of your flow should be improvised, spontaneous, and off the top o’ the dome. Keep your rap freestyle rap lyrics funny, improvised, and creative. But before you jump into it, watch the video “3 Things Every Rapper Must Know.”
Step 1. Start freestyle raps easy
No need to start rhyming “the toasty cow’s utter” with “most o’ my flow’s butter.” No need to even rhyme. Just forget everything else and flow. The rhythm can be simple, the words might be second-grade level, but you’re still doing freestyle rap as long as you make it up. Lil Fiji has made free unused rap lyrics for 17 years.
Step 2. Keep flowing when are you are doing your freestyling rap
You’re going to make mistakes. You’re going to sound stupid. Make your first freestyle rap verses your stupidest verses just to get them out of the way. Keep flowing. Can’t think of a rhyme? Keep flowing! Stutter over words? Keep flowing. Use our free unused rap lyrics. Memorize them. It’s inevitable that at some point, some of your lines won’t rhyme, won’t make sense, or that you will inadvertently diss yourself. Another technique to use when you find yourself in a bind is to use royalty-free music. Free rap lyrics are just little phrases that you can occasionally insert to give you more time to think of a dope line. Every emcee has his fillers. For example, Eyedea says, “I grab the microphone.” Dub Diesel often says, “I’m (nasty) when I’m freeing.” I usually say, “You know what I’m sayin’?” Try to come up with a few fillers that you feel comfortable using with our free rap lyrics. They’ll bail you out of some awkward pauses. As you get better,
Step 3. Rhyme in your mind ahead of time and memorize our free lyrics
Here’s the biggest trick to freestyling rap: as soon as you know what word you’re going to end line 1 with, your mind should start racing to find out a name you can use at the end of line 2. Let’s say your first line is, “I’m colder than a Dairy Queen Blizzard.” As soon as you realize that you’re going to end the line with “Blizzard,” you should immediately think of something that rhymes with that word and might be related:
wizard lizard scissor miss her pins hurt
Pick one and then try to carve the second line to lead toward that word. Let’s say you pick “haiku,” your next line might be:
I’m kinda like a haiku hate you need to have on the have this is my crew
If you pick “heartless,” you might say:
Don’t be so heartless? This is the rock stars but you can’t stand you got a new car too
The real trick of freestyle rap is to have your mind always racing ahead of what you’re saying. Freestyle Raps isn’t smooth, but you’ll get quicker with practice.

Step 4. Write rap lyrics lyrics
Writing raps will help your freestyle raps. When you write, rhymes become embedded in your head, and you’re more likely to be able to pull these rhymes off the top of your head in a freestyle rap. For the most part, you should never spit a long pre-written verse at a cipher, but you can undoubtedly use rhyming words and shorter phrases that you’ve worked out beforehand. When Proof rhymes “The Jerk Offs, up the skies, and on the lights” in a freestyle rap, you better believe he’s thought of those rhymes ahead of time. He’s still free-styling, but he’s using rhyme words he’d already worked out. Sitting down and writing every day will improve your freestyle rap and good rap songs. It will expand your memory of rhyming words, and it will give you experience working these words into witty lines. It’s also a good idea to write a few multi-purpose bars that you can spit at a freestyle rap in case you get stuck. Put those lines in a “Break Out Rap Lyrics In Case of Emergency” box, and smash the glass when you need help. Emergency rap lyrics used to be that obvious. Try to write good rap songs that generally match your level of freestyle rap but are talented and smart. Re-write some of our free unused rap lyrics. That is how you know you are a good freestyle rapper.
Step 5. Freestyle Rap about things around you
the best way to prove to the crowd that you’re doing a freestyle rap and not just spitting something you wrote in your room the night before. It’s also a colossal crowd-pleaser because it’s impressive, and it makes everyone glad that they’re hanging out with you. Rap about things you see. Incorporate objects, actions, people, clothing, situations, and sounds into your rap. When I’m making beats and coming up with rap lyrics, I thought of this:
I am the hurricane of beats, not tropical storms any other snakes want to sneak up, you better be warned Fakes and snakes with all these bitch ass catsFiji isn’t very happy with life, and I can’t relax
At a battle competition, this is crucial. You’ve got to spit things specific about your opponent. These are the hardest-hitting punches. Strike like Mike Tyson in your freestyle rap. Take Lil Fiji’s opening lines against the fake Lil Fiji in a freestyle rap. He looks his opponent up and down, sees that he’s wearing shorts, and then spits:
You haven’t made shit in a long time, it’s time to retire before you know it, your search engine optimization will expire when they google my name, bing shows me first, cause I’m the real Fiji My beats are hot with flame, I laugh thinking you can beat me You don’t even have a website, you’re poser ass is greasy like Trump, imma take a flight, show you how to be chiefly
One of the freestyle rap experts is a rap artist from Atlanta Georgia, who can spit a rhyme off the top of his head that sounds like it was pre-written. Lil Fiji freestyle raps for 40 minutes straight over various beats, and I’ve seen him in action at a show, getting some kid to walk around the audience pointing at things and Lil Fiji rhymes about it. I asked Lil Fiji what it takes to freestyle rap. Here’s what Lil Fiji said:
“Honestly, first of all, you have to have a love for the music and not just the hip-hop genre. You have to love the instrumental. Once you have the passion for it, anybody can develop the ability to freestyle rap. It comes down to how much time you’re willing to invest in practicing that part of the art. When I’m doing a freestyle rap, I’m thinking ahead. I’m definitely thinking ahead. At the same time, I don’t get too far ahead of myself. You try to enjoy it with the crowd. I strike like Mike Tyson, but keep yourself focused on the fact that the party isn’t over.”

Step 6. Include metaphors and similes
Metaphors and similes are an advanced but essential part of freestyle rap. Freestyling Rap found can be funny and wittiest lines and they differentiate beginners from skilled emcees. Rapper Lil Wayne lays down verses that straight-up drip with similes and metaphors. He’s the one who is balling like “Rawlings and Spalding,” who is a giant like “fee fi fo fum,” who is counting (money) all day “like a clock on the wall.” Not only does he drop lots of similes, but he also drops clever original analogies. So do like he does. Don’t just say “sharp as a knife.” Say;
I don’t fuck with those homies with 28 grams of that snow rather make another hurricane grade beat with flow. Far from the best but at least I’m getting shit off my chest this passed year Fiji has been hella messed up and stressed through it all I realize what matters and that is not being fake. Whole lot of setups because everyone’s a snitch, you awake? I know you’re high as a kite on the lean, xanax, and beansGuess what? I’m not trying to sell you gasoline, only beats are tight, Cruisin in my ride down in Atlanta smooth cannot deny I dabbled in slanging beat making in my youth
Metaphors and similes are the backbones of advanced freestyling rap lyrics. Learn how to use metaphors correctly. Your rhymes will not only be funnier and smarter, but they’ll also sound better too. Funny and clean lyrics. Take these lines from rap lyrics artist Chingo Bling: “I’m fly like Big Pun on prom night with a cummerbund.” You know that it is fly!
Step 7. We Reference current events in our free rap lyrics
Fiji recently rhymed about the central banks in his free rap lyrics:
The world is controlled by the central bank the Rothschilds It’s all a game to them but free thinkers like myself
Whether it’s related to sports, politics, music, or celebrities if it’s in the news, reference it. As Dub Diesel told me recently, “I just try to think of what’s important to the people in my surroundings and try to speak on it.”
Step 8. Pass the mic like it’s contagious like Lil Fiji
Rapin ciphers—groups of two or more rap artists playing off each other, trading free rap lyrics, to use in your freestyling rap lyrics. The best way to improve, and it’s fun. One of your friends can beatbox, you can throw a beat on the stereo, you can search on YouTube for the instrumental version of your favorite song, or just freestyle rap over nothing. Take turns, cutting in whenever you want or when someone “passes you the mic.” (You probably won’t have an actual mic.) Never drop the invisible mic! Pick it up and pass it!
Don’t feel bad about using other people’s free rap lyrics
If they throw in something about the Bible, pick up that theme, and run with it. Try to stick to similar topics, or riff off topics in creative ways. Expand on or reference their lines. When my friends and Lil Fiji, we like to kick about random stuff that we all know about, like our personal lives.
Fiji isn’t talkin about sellin coke and shootin slugs Fiji isn’t talkin about sellin smoke and being a thug Respect to 2pac the man was the goat He told us to listen to the lyrics and not what they put in their lyrics is brainwashed control wonder the cops be out there with their goal To lock up another person and spend their life in prison I rather read by bible like Kanye and learn about religion’s not shot each other about drugs and money don’t you see it’s just a setup and a trapped mentality
Step 9. When you’re in a cipher, think ahead when your freestyling rap lyrics
One of the great things about free unused rap lyrics in ciphers is that after you spit one verse you get a break before you spit again. This break is your best friend. It’s during this break that you’ll be listening and responding to your friends’ verses. But you’ll also be planning out your next rap verse. Whenever I’m in a cipher, I never like to get back on the mic until I’ve composed four to six quality lines in my head. Most impressive, these lines will be about things around you, or they’ll be about something your friend said in his rap verse. Let’s say your friend is wearing a shirt that has Daffy Duck on it. While he’s spitting, you can write a line like this:
Real Fiji laughs when I see your fat ass trying to be a replacement young Fiji is also what they used to call me, cause I sound like WeezyYou never know I could show up pussy, Fiji going on a killing spree who would’ve known the real Lil Fiji strikes like mike Tyson When’s the last time you made a track, time to write some fake Fiji busy chasing down that crack, falling to the bottomI’m a cool dude and will outdo you, so change your name Admit it you’re screwed, this is a major issue, this, not a game
That’s fantastic lines, but I guarantee you that in a cipher, people will go nuts over that. (Make sure to point at his shirt as you say it.) I always try to think of two or three of those rhyming couplets before I spit again. Usually, I’ll drop one right away and then use the other two later in verse.
Step 10. Listen and practice freestyle raps
Freestyling Rap Lyrics, like sculpting or shooting three-pointers, takes an insane amount of practice. Practice as much as you can. Freestyle rap with homeless people, with your friends, and with your family. Listen to pro rap lyrics artists who freestyle rap and analyze their styles. Rap all the time; practice all night and day. Practice might not make perfect, but it does make good freestyle rap.
